Easter 2009

Yesterday was truely an amazing day. Daniel's parents took Evelyn to Reidsville while Daniel and I both served at Kinetic. We met up with Evelyn at the Perkins Family Easter at Beth's home in Winston-Salem. Below are some pictures of Evelyn at Beth's. They have a 2 1/2 year old boy, so Evelyn got to experience some boy toys.

Sidewalk Chalk

Evelyn had discovered chalk and loves it. Lately she points to the chalk and goes to the front door. Here are a few of Evelyn playing with chalk in front of our home.

New Carseat

Last week Evelyn had her 15 month check-up and even though she is only 19 lbs, the doctor said we could face Evelyn forward in the car. So, we ordered a new carseat since Evelyn was still in her infant carseat. The new carseat came in Tuesday and we decided to test it out by going to dinner. Here are two pictures of Evelyn in her new carseat facing forward.

Fun in the Front Yard

Late last week we finally saw some sun here in Charlotte. We decided to take advantage of the sun and have some outside fun. Below are a few pictures of Evelyn's first time playing in the front yard.

Easter Egg Hunt

Last Sunday our church (Kinetic) had an Easter Egg Hunt. Check out Evelyn finding eggs with her daddy. Thanks grandma Jones for the cute basket.

15 Months

Evelyn had her 15 month check-up and everything went great.


Evelyn Stats:


Weight: 19 pounds 6 ounces
Height: 29 1/2 inches
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 inches

The best news we heard from the doctor today is that she we can turn her carseat around...yeah!!!!! Evelyn is still in her infant carseat due to being small. But Daniel has been wanting to buy a new carseat and turn her around...so he finally gets to do it.

Evelyn has become a little more wild lately :). She's discovering new things in the house and will look back at you to see if its ok (not like she cares what you think, because she will do it anyways). When we go anywhere, she wants to be down and walking all by herself.

Evelyn is talking more and more. We have begun teaching her the alphabet and so far she can recite A, B, C, D, E, and O. She will even try to mimic what you say sometimes.

Evelyn has also begun to color. She draws with crayons and her favorite...chalk. What a mess chalk can make :).

Evelyn still only has 6 teeth and no sign of any coming in soon.

All in all - She's a growing toddler and a joy to be around.

Yogurt

Last night during dinner, Evelyn was complaining about the yogurt being "All Gone". So we let her play with the yogurt cup. Daniel got some great shots.
