Over the weekend, we finally got a chair for Evelyn's room. I have been really picky about what I wanted. I didn't want a typical rocker, I wanted something that we could eventually use in another room.
I have wanted this really nice rocker on Walmart's website. It looks just like the nice ones at Pottery Barn Kids with the slipcover and everything, but at a fraction of the price ($200 instead of $1,000). Well, thursday it finally was in stock on the website....but I hesitated to order it and of course it went out of stock.
So, Saturday we set out to find a chair with all the other crazy holiday shoppers (so much for a bad economy......everyone was shopping). After going to several stores, we end up at our favorite furniture store (Value City Furniture). We found the chair we have been looking for. It's black (yes I know but that means it can go anywhere in the house), leather (it just wipes off), no arms (I found the arms to either be in the way or just to tall for my small frame) and even a storage drawer. At a price cheaper than the one on Walmart's website, how could we go wrong. And the best thing was they had it in stock. So now its set up in Evelyn's room in front of the window. With it and the car seat and stroller in the room, Rusty can't get to the window and he is not happy. One of his favorite things is to go sit in her room, look out the window, and wait for things to bark at. Ahhhhhh the joys of having a dog.
So now we just play the waiting game. 25 days until my due date (not that I'm counting :).
Lunch out with Nana!
