One Year...

One year ago the unthinkable happened...Evelyn's eye crossed for the second time. We were told by the eye doctor that what had happened in Jan 2009 probably wouldn't happen again. But it did...in November 2009.

So Saturday was one year. Last year Evelyn's eye crossed the day of our annual Christmas photo shoot. Yesterday we had our 2010 Christmas photo shoot and...no eye crossing. I will tell you I was nervous all week long and while getting ready on Saturday I couldn't stop my hands from shaking.

But she did it...and her eyes look great. No touching up her eyes for this years Christmas photos.

One year is a really bid deal. It's a sign that she may actually be out growing this. It's a sign that eye surgery isn't in the near future. And as a mom....its freeing. One of my top worries can move down on the list. Oh...yes...I have a list. I'm a worry wart. It's bad. And it never stops. Oh...the joys of motherhood. But I wouldn't exchange it for anything in the world.

Evelyn Jade Perkins...You are amazing. You continually take life's challenges and roll right through them. I'm proud of you big girl! I don't know what's next, but I know your ready and you will pull me right along with you. I love you so much!...Love, Mommy
