As a mom, one of my most important jobs is being aware of my daughter. Over the last three years, being aware of Evelyn's body and what she is doing has been so important. Mother's notice and catch things long before the doctors (i.e. Evelyn's severe acid reflux, her inability to digest lactose as a baby, or even her Cranial Nerve Six Palsy).
Because of this, I have come across lots of blogs that I love to read. One is Enjoying the Small Things. Its an amazing blog about a mother whom has a one year old daughter with down syndrome, but she didn't know until she was born. Her story is amazing. Watch this video!
It's amazing how your child can change your life and your views of the world. If this video touched you, I encourage you to donate to national down syndrome society and make a difference. For more details and to view Kelle's blog, go to http://www.kellehampton.com/.
