Swaddle Blanket Needed

Daniel, Evelyn and I went to Charleston over the weekend for a wedding. We stayed at the Inn at Middleton Place. What a very cool place. The rooms were a little dated but clean. But the nice thing was being so close to Middleton Plantation. We didn't have time to do much but we did walk some of the gardens. Boy were they beautiful. Below is a pic of Daniel and Evelyn at the wedding.

One thing that we did learn on this trip was to never forget the swaddle blanket. We have swaddled Evelyn at night from day one. And this weekend she proved she still needed to be swaddled with the special blanket still. We have two swaddle blankets - one fleece and one cotton. This way we can decide which one to use depending on how warm/cold her room is. These special swaddle blankets have velcro and make it very easy to swaddle a child. Daniel and I could never master the swaddle with a regular blanket so we invested in the special ones. Here is link to the one we use and a picture - http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265551

Anyways, since we forgot this blanket we tried to swaddle her with a regular blanket. She wiggled her way out of the blanket and was away every hour and 1/2 or so. Didn't make if for a fun night. When we got home yesterday evening and put her down for the night swaddled in her special blanket....she slept 10 + hours and didn't wiggle her way out of it :). So Daniel and I got caught up on our missing sleep. So note to self....use the special swaddle blanket as long as possible. Note to readers....if you are struggling to get your infant to sleep all night long, try a swaddle blanket. It works wonders.
